Esther 5:2  And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

THE RESULT OF FASTING AND PRAYER

Esther was not foolish in the sense that, she never appeared before the king without proper preparation. Her preparation involved seeking the face of God first, this was done in fasting and prayer.
She was not the only one but her maids and all the Jewish tribe also.
After which she went to see the king and favour was the result.

have you been in the same situation?
why don't you use the same weapon?
fasting and prayer works like a miracle, once what you are praying for is in line with the will of God, it shall surely be done.

stop dropping your head in confusion and depression, use Esther's method and it shall be well.
