EFFECT OF MUSIC IN OUR LIVES

1Ch 25:6 All these [were] under the hands of their father for song [in] the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

Worldly music is generally sensuous and leads the mind away from God. Music was originally made to Serve a purpose, a Holy purpose, to lift the though to that which is pure, noble, and elevating, to awaken in the soul devotion and gratitude to God.

String instruments in the time of David, were used extensively to accompany singing, they were not meant to cover up the voices and we have seen these days. Great care was taken to ensure that the vocal praise of the levitical choir would not be overshadowed by the sound of the instruments.

As we praise the Lord with appropriate musical instruments in His house, let's do so with reverence, let it make a distinction between the sacred music and secular music.

"YOUR HEAT SHOULD BE PRESERVED ONLY FOR YOUR SPOUSE" Today's system has so much decayed that we hardly have young people whose "heat" are still intact. What heat do I mean? I don't mean a prefabricated heat. I mean such divine heat for sexual satisfaction between a married man and woman.
