YOU WILL STAND
BEFORE KINGS
Proverbs 31:14 “She is like the
merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar.”
She is compared to a ship that
sails into a distant market and returns with goods. As in her time, and
in this present time, there are many parts of the world where there is
no refrigeration, and shopping must be done on a daily bases. She is
willing to make this sacrifice for the welfare of her family.
She didn’t necessarily do just what was convenient, or what
was easy.
She went extra distance and put in extra time to do what she
felt was best for her family.
Why would she bring “her food from afar?”
Because of
delicacies or treats were not easily obtained.
And
she was a wise shopper (Weighing the value of time invested to money saved.)
She is diligent.
In Titus 2:5, we see God giving
primary responsibility for the “keeping of the home” to the woman. This
encompasses many things. In Proverbs 31 there are numerous references to the
responsibility of the woman to oversee the clothing needs of herself and her
family.

I CHOOSE TO TRUST JESUS CHRIST AND HIS FINISHED PAYMENT FOR
MY SIN.
To trust Jesus Christ as your
Savior, pray a prayer similar to this one: “Lord, I know that I am a sinner. Please
forgive my sins, come into my life and be my Saviour. I am trusting You and You
alone as payment for my sins. Help me live for You from this day forward. In
Jesus’ name, Amen.”
